How to Build a Log Bed - Things to Consider in Building a Log Bed

!±8± How to Build a Log Bed - Things to Consider in Building a Log Bed

It's pretty to learn how to build a log bed. Though you need to have some supplies and a simple plan beforehand to make the building process easier.

I always find this kind of bed somewhat charming and cozy so when there was a point that I had the spare logs to build one, I immediately made a trip to the hardware store and give a shot at building a log bed.

Based on my experience, there are things you need to keep in mind when building this kind of bed. At the top of my head are:

SIZE

You can build a log bed around the size of your available logs or customize it to the size of your mattress or maybe even the size of your available space. That's the beauty of learning how to build a log bed, you get to customize it to the way you want it.

TOOLS

To build a log bed you need to get some tools in hand. There are some tools which can easily be found right in your own tool box like a chisel and saw while there are other tools which you have procure as this mainly needed for refining of wood.

Some of these tools are:

Tenon Maker

Tenon maker is to a log as pencil sharpener is to a pencil. Tenon maker comes in varying capability suited for the different sizes of logs. Sure, you can make do without a tenon maker but that require far more effort and time.

Draw Knives

Draw knives can be a straight knife which is used for stripping wood or it can be a curved knife which can be used for peeling. This tool is specifically used to peel and strip the bark of the logs and of course, it can also help shaping the log in whichever design you desire.

Bit Set

I'm talking about the bit set specifically used in cutting wood. This may be used with a hand or electric drill.

DESIGN

It would do well if you have a ready design beforehand. A good bed plan proved to be a tremendous help personally when I was learning how to build a log bed. After having made the decision as to the size of the bed, the plan has helped me with its step-by-step instruction with some pictures thrown in to avoid some confusion.

How Did Wolves Become Dogs?

Science Fiction: This primitive wolf closely resembled the modern southern wolf populations of the Arabian Peninsula and South Asia, which were once distributed in Europe in the early Quaternary glaciation until about 500000 years ago (see Subspecies).[4] C. mosbachensis evolved in the direction of Canis lupus, and recolonised North America in the late Rancholabrean era. Real Science: They are also capable of running at speeds of 56--64 km (34--38 miles) per hour, and can continue running for more than 20 minutes, though not necessarily at that speed.[32] In cold climates, wolves can reduce the flow of blood near their skin to conserve body heat. The warmth of the footpads is regulated independently of the rest of the body, and is maintained at just above tissue-freezing point where the pads come in contact with ice and snow.[33] The intestines of adult wolves measure 460--575 cm, the ratio to body length being 4.13--4.62.[34] The stomach can hold 7--9 kg (15--20 lb) of food[24] and up to 7.5 litres (8 US qt) of water.[35] The liver is relatively large, weighing 0.7--1.9 kg (1.6--4.2 lb) in males and 0.68--0.82 kg (1.5--1.8 lb) in females.[24]

VOODOO & JOHNNY 2009 - 1) JUNE 20, 2 WEEKS OLD

VOODOO & JOHNNY 2009 2 WEEKS OLD It is a very warm day here in Redmond Washington. I have to watch carefully that the puppies dont get over heated. I turn off the heat lamp and turn off the heater during the day. VooDoo and I are taking a walk. All mothers need a chance to get away form the children for a little while. You will be able to see how pretty VooDoo is. Notice the condition that VooDoo is in. A lot of bitches, after giving birth, are skinny and look in poor condition. VooDoo has been on a very special diet through her whole pregnancy. She is in really good body weight and condition, even though she is feeding 11 puppies. This is a good size litter. There are 6 girls and 5 boys. At a week of age, I took the puppies and mother from my house to the Milky Way. Before the mother and puppies can go to the Milky Way there are a couple or prerequisites. 1) The mother must be able to get up from the puppies without stepping on them. 2) The mother must be able to get back in the whelping box without stepping on a puppy and must be able to lie down, in the whelping box, without squishing a puppy. And 3) The puppies must be able to find their mother with out my help. The Milky Way has an inside, heated, and outside kennel run. Once the mother and puppies are in the Milky Way, the mother can go outside as often as she wants and the puppies stay warm and cozy in the whelping box, inside the Milky Way. At birth, up to about 2 weeks of age the puppys eyes and ears are closed ...

!±8± Dog Heat Stroke - signs, prevention and safety tips to heat

As the weather heats up around the country, one of the hottest topics for parents pet should be prevented, heatstroke and other heat-related health problems. But, parents can sometimes loving pet may have underestimated the effect of heat (in particular a sharp wave) for their dog companions.

During a walk yesterday, I was a woman with a baby in a stroller, two older boys and a dog. Everyone looked hot, but none more so that the dog, who was wavingbehind the stroller, who are against the leash and exercise, because it seemed too much trouble to try to maintain. It was clear that the dog was suffering. I approached the woman to see if I could help. Of course I was anxious not to be intrusive, because I do not want to hurt that I can catch up with unsolicited advice and, on foot, not realizing that their dogs need to be looking for help. So I started with the question of what mix her dog was and his age. I said I had a friend whowith a similar type of dog (Pekingese mix) and from my experience do not do well in hot weather. I knelt down and invite the dog to me, and stepped right into the gray area that I have created and defined. The dog seemed fine to me pets.

I was not sure if this is his normal behavior, or perhaps because it was too hot and tired to take care of. However, I took it as an opportunity to look over his gums. The color seemed a bit 'redder than typical, so IHe showed the woman. Fortunately, they seemed very receptive. He said he knew that his dog was hot, we were all at the end. But, do not seem to understand how her dog more prone to suffer from the heat. They obviously had their hands full, so I stayed with her while she struck vet, so that you can come and check the condition of the dog mentioned. I was glad to hear that they were only minutes away. He carried out his dog and was the eldest son, pressStroller when he drove his car.

Dogs have a relatively inefficient cooling system. Unlike humans who sweat through the skin to cool, releasing heat mainly by panting dogs, and through the pads of their feet. As a result of ill-equipped to disperse or distribute the heat, the dogs are very sensitive to heat stroke. Heat stroke can cause brain damage, vital organ failure and even death. In addition to their lack of a good cooling system, most dogs are not likelystrong sense of when I went too far. This is especially true if you try to keep up with their human friends. Therefore, it is important to be aware of signs of heat stroke prevention and alert.
